Lahore Whites beat Faisalabad in 1st Semi final

National T20 Cup is a domestic T20 cricket competition originated in Pakistan. In every season, the competition used to take place in August and September but in the recently finished season, it started in 11th November, 2017 due to some international cricket schedule. Total eight teams used to participate here where four of them made it to the semi final. Lahore Whites and Faisalabad are the two of them which faced against each other in semi final. In the game, Lahore Whites beat Faisalabad in 1st semi final by 10 runs.

At Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi the match between Lahore Whites and Faisalabad have taken place in 29th November, 2017 which was a day competition. In the match, Faisalabad won the toss and decided to bowl first. Lahore Whites scored 142 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs. In return, Faisalabad got all out in 132 runs. They played 19.4 overs. Salman Butt scored highest 40 runs for Lahore Whites and Sohaib Maqsood scored 39 runs highest for Faisalabad. Wahab Riaz was announced as the player of the match due to his brilliant bowling action.

Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt started the innings for Lahore Whites. Their opening partnership led the team to a big total. They made 69 runs partnership when Kamran was gone with 30 runs. Justfour runs later, Butt was gone as well. He scored 40 runs in 23 balls. Later, Umar Akmal and Sami Aslam tried to make another partnership but Aslam was gone runout unfortunately. Next Raza Ali came but scored just 15 runs. At the end of the crease Umar Akmal played well and remained not out but rest players did not able to make any stand. Rest four players did not make two figure runs so far. FInally in 20 overs, Lahore Whites scored 142 runs by losing seven wickets. Asad Ali took highest two wickets.

On the other hand, Faisalabad started the innings with Sahibzada Farhan and Gauhar Ali. In 9 runs first wicket was gone. In 2nd wicket partnership, they added almost 35 runs but Gauhar Ali was gone with 15 runs. Sohaib Maqsood stood a bit while and scored 39 runs. Later, Asif Ali, Khurram and Imran added few more runs but that was not enough to beat Lahore Whites. They lost all their wickets in 132 runs in 19.4 overs. Wahab Riaz and Umaid Asif took two wickets each for the Whites.
