Lahore Qalandars faced another defeat in Pakistan Super League and this time, Gladiators beat them by nine wickets.

However, if we consider the case of Quetta Gladiators, they also failed to make a good start in ongoing season of PSL and lost their inaugural match against Karachi Kings. But they have recovered their lost by winning the second match in the tournament.

The match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators was the 5th match in the season of PSL. Both teams are the founding member but still have no good memory. No one of them did play final yet but hopefully, they would this time.

It was the 2nd match in 24th February, 2018 which was staged in morning and was a day competition. Earlier in 24th February, 2018 the match was taken place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium where Quetta Gladiators won the toss and decided to bowl first. DUe to the day match, they thought that chasing would be wise for them and it was the right choice indeed.

Came to bat most of the players of Qalandars failed to judge their name but McCullum scored highest 30 runs for the team. He played destructive innings and faced only 18 balls so far. So, at the end Lahore Qalandars finished their innings scoring 119 runs and in that time they lost nine wickets. Jofra Archer took three wickets for Gladiators. In a T20 competition 119 runs seems easy to chase.

So, Quetta Gladiators started to chase 199 runs and by losing only one wicket, they reached the destination. They had to play only 14 overs to make the chase successful. Their top scorer Shane Watson scored highest 66 runs and he was the one wicket which was lost. And the wicket taker was Sunil Narine. He was too expensive in the match. By bowling four overs he gave 40 runs and took only one wicket. Mohammad Nawaz from Gladiators got the player of the match award finally.

Lahore Qalandars will play their next match against their old opponent karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will play their upcoming match against Islamabad United.
