Indian cricketer Rinku Singh could well have landed himself in soup after featuring in Abu Dhabi’s Ramadan T20 Cup.

According to a report by Indian Express, the Uttar Pradesh all-rounder played a pivotal role in helping his team Deccan Gladiators win the tournament with his all-round efforts, scoring 104 runs and taking a couple of wickets. The all-round effort fetched him the Man of the Match award in the final.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doesn’t allow a player to take part in foreign league until announcing retirement from all forms of cricket, the report added, a rule that could put Rinku in trouble.

The 21-year-old recently featured in the Indian Premier League, representing the Kolkata Knight Riders. He, however, didn’t have an impressive outing, managing just 37 runs in the five games he featured in.

This comes just a week after Irfan Pathan landed in trouble for submitting his name for 2019 Caribbean Premier League draft without seeking the BCCI’s permission.
