KKR chased CSK’s target at Kolkata

Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings are in very contesting position and both are wanting the top position on IPL point table and as per to do so, they are fighting very hardly. Now, in their last match which was the 33rd match if the ongoing tournament of IPL, KKR chased CSK’s target at Kolkata. It was the home venue match of KKR and so, they made the chase successful.

Earlier in the season, Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings faced against each other already. That was the home venue match of CSK where Chennai Super Kings won by 5 wickets so far. So, it seems that KKR has taken proper revenge on their last meeting against CSK.

Still now, Kolkata Knight Riders is two points behind than Chennai Super Kings. They are holding the 3rd position on the point table. On the other side, Chennai Super Kings are holding the 2nd position there. Both teams have played nine matches each where CSK won six times and KKR won five times so far. Both are top potential teams and have the chance to claim the title.

One thing is common between two teams which is both teams won the IPL titles twice times each. So, both are same experienced in that case. Though, CSK has come to the competition after two years but KKR is in the competition since the beginning in 2008.

Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have faced against each other in 3rd May, 2018 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. At the home venue, KKR got the toss winning favour and decided to field first. So, CSK came to open the innings.

Watson and Du Plessis started the innings very good. Watson scored 36 runs and Plessi scored 27 runs so far. Openers and top orders played well though no one made any significant big score in the match but all of them added a handsome runs to the scoreboard. Raina scored 31 runs, Rayudu scored 21 runs, Dhoni scored 43 runs highest for the team. So, at the end, CSK did present 177 runs in exchange for five wickets in front of Kolkata Knight Riders. Shawla and Narine took two wickets each for the team KKR.

Lynn and Narine started the innings for KKR. Lynn scored 12 runs and Narine scored 32 runs for the team. later, Gill and captain Karthik played till the last and left the ground with victory. Gill scored highest 57 runs and Karthik scored 45 runs so far.
