Karachi Kings is a franchise team in Pakistan Super League and one of the founding member of PSL. Karachi Kings represents the city of Karachi in the competition which is in great form in the season. They played two matches and managed victory all two times. In their first match, they played against Quetta Gladiators and easily beat them. In their second match, they were scheduled to play against the defending champion of PSL Peshawar Zalmi. In the match, Karachi Kings won by 5 wickets against Zalmi. So, their winning rate is hundred percent. They have the chance to qualify for the next playoff round of PSL.

On the other hand, including the last match against Karachi Kings Peshawar Zalmi total played three matches in the season of PSL but managed only one victory. Though, there are still room for all teams to get qualify. The season has just began and plenty of matches are still in hand. But by winning first matches, they could reduce the pressure.

However, the last match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings was hosted at the same venue of Dubai and it was the first match in 25th February, 2018 and obviously a day competition. Sri Lankan Ranmore Martinesz and English Tim Robinson were the field umpires of the match.

Peshawar Zalmi won the toss earlier in 25th February, 2018 and decided to bat first. So, they came to bat at the beginnings but did not make any impressive score in front of Karachi Kings. They played full 20 overs and lost nine wickets. Their all rounder Dwayne Smith scored highest 71 runs with unbeaten till the last. He played 51 balls. Based on his score, team Zalmi made the score. Mohammad Amir took two wickets for Kings. He bowled just two overs and gave only six runs so far.

Now, Karachi KIngs had to play till the last over to gain the victory. Though the score was not so big but bowlers of Peshawar Zalmi were too good. Karachi Kings fought hard and finally taken the glory. They lost five wickets where Joe Denly scored 29 runs highest. He faced much balls to make the little score. In 19.4 overs Kings reached the destination. Ibtisam Sheikh took two wickets for Zalmi. Though, Peshawar Zalmi lost the match but their player Smith got the player of the match award due to his brilliant and destructive innings.
