Karachi Kings won by 19 runs

The new season of Pakistan Super league is going on. It is the 3rd episode of PSL which was founded in 2015 but first episode was taken place in 2016. In last two seasons, it has seen two different champions in PSL. And also both times total five founding members taken part in the competition. But in the ongoing 3rd season, one new team is added and so, the total participants are six now. So, some matches should increase in the season hopefully. However, in the second match of the 3rd season of PSL, Karachi Kings won by 19 runs against Quetta Gladiators.

Karachi Kings won by 19 runs

Quetta Gladiators is one of the most successful franchise team in Pakistan Super league and they are also two times finalist of the tournament. Unfortunately both times they missed it. On the other side, Karachi Kings failed to play final earlier but in the season, they are in very good form and their starting was good enough which makes them as an worthy and potential team in PSL.

Though, the inaugural match of the tournament PSL 2018 was day competition but the second match was day/ night competition. In 23rd February, 2018 the match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators staged and this time Dubai International Cricket Stadium was the host venue. Earlier in 23rd February Karachi Kings won the toss and let Gladiators to bat first. So, by their own choice, they came to bat at the beginnings. They failed to score handsome runs but lost nine wickets in selected 20 overs. Finally, Karachi Kings scored 149 runs at the beginning where Colin Ingram scored highest 41 runs for the team. He played a destructive innings and only in 21 balls, he made the score. Shane Watson took three wickets for Gladiators. He was the most economy bowler for Quetta.

The score was not so handsome which should be chased but Quetta Gladiators failed to do so. Their innings finished with 130 runs and also they lost nine wickets. Umar Amin scored highest 31 runs but he took much balls. Imad Wasim took two wickets for Kings so far. Colin Ingram from Karachi Kings achieved the player of the match awards at the end.

Kings started their innings very good but openers did not last long. In 34 runs opener Denly was gone with 14 runs but Khurram played well and scored 35 runs for the team. Later, Babar scored 10 runs, Colin scored 41 runs and Bopara scored 24 runs so far. rest players did not touch two figure runs for Kings.
