Yesterday, the last match of PSL 2 group stage has finished where Karachi Kings and Islamabad United played against each other. This was their 2nd head to head meeting in this ongoing T20 competition where in the first time, Karachi got victory by D/L method. But, yesterday the history repeat again where Islamabad United faced them to take the last time revenge but could not make them suffer. The match was important for the both teams but most important to the Karachi Kings. If they failed to defeat United, they could not pass the group stage round.

However, earlier yesterday at evening, Karachi Kings won the toss and opted to field first. However, before the match, the rains started and so, the match was reduced to the 15 overs for both side. Islamabad was looking for revenge and as per to do so, they started well though their scoring rate was not so high. Their opening partnership was broken in 37 runs when Duckett was out with his 16 runs. But, Smith stood still but at the end of the crease, the players used to change regularly. Due to wet weather, the ground was slower and seemed tough for first batting team to score runs. But on the other hand, opponent bowlers took the crease advantage to take wickets. So, By playing 15 overs, team United scored 123 runs by losing seven wickets so far. Amir, Sohail and Usman took two wickets each for Kings. Smith scored highest 49 runs for United.

123 runs in 15 overs was almost a minimum score and to secure their position in playoff stage, there was no other way for Kings but to win the match. So, They started to chase very carefully and in the meantime, West Indies batting monster who was completely flop in the series made a destructive batting for the first time and scored 44 runs in just 17 balls. He hitted two 4’s and five big 6’s in this time. Excluding him, most of the players played very well in the match and in 14.5 overs, the crossed the given target by losing just four wickets so far. Shadab Khan took highest three wickets for United.
