Kamran’s century led Peshawar to PSL 2 final

Peshawar Zalmi finally stopped the winning streak of Karachi Kings and through this fact, Karachi Kings has ruled out from the PSL 2 competition. After defeating Islamabad United in the eliminator stage, Karachi Kings qualified to the qualifier round 2 where they were scheduled to play the loser of 1st qualifier Peshawar Zalmi. But Karachi Kings who made two impossible things by defeating the defending champion, has finally moved out from their luck and faced defeat against Peshawar Zalmi by 24 runs. Kings chased 181 runs target which was given by Zalmi and the leader of the big score was Kamran Akmal who scored a brilliant century for Zalmi.

Earlier yesterday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Zalmi came to bat by losing the toss. They desperate to get victory and so, a destructive open was happened by Kamran and Malan. Their opening partnership added 97 runs when Malan was out with his 36 runs but Kamran who started to play big hit was stood strong. Later, Samuels came and made another bond. Their partnership was broken in the last over when Kamran tried to make a run and being run out. He scored 104 runs by playing 65 balls. In the meantime, he made a plenty of big shots consisted of six 4’s and seven 6’s. Afridi could not stand for a while but made a golden duck. Samuels and Sammy  finished the innings with 181 runs. So, finally Zalmi lost total three wickets in complete 20 overs so far.

Kings has plenty of great bowlers where their lead weapon was Mohammad Amir who took at least one wicket but spent huge runs. Kings skipper Sangakkara used total six bowlers to make breakthrough but failed.

To chase the score, Kings stumbled at the beginning when they lost their opener Babar Azam. Gayle played for a while and took number of shots but finished his innings with 40 runs which colored by two 4’s and four 6’s. Sangakkara was no better but finished with 15 runs. Most of the players were flop in front of Zalmi bowlers only Gayle and Pollard played for sometimes. Pollard scored highest 47 runs in 26 balls. They completed their innings with 157 runs by losing seven wickets. So, their PSL 2 tour has finally finished but that was really good achievement for the team Karachi Kings.
