Peshawar Zalmi is one of the two most successful franchise team in Pakistan Super league that managed a PSL title. They are the defending champion of PSL and in the season, they are moving towards their 2nd title.In their last match they defeat Lahore Qalandars and through the victory peshawar Zalmi confirmed their ticket into playoff stage. Basically the most credit of the victory went to Kamran Akmal. This Pakistan national team player Kamran Akmal led Zalmi to victory against Qalandars.

On the other side, Lahore Qalandars already ruled out from the competition and it was their last match in the season. Including the last match against Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars played total ten matches here and won only three times. Rest seven matches were defeated and so, they are placed on the last position on the PSL point table.

Now. if we consider the position of peshawar Zalmi, they also played the same number of matches in the ongoing season of PSL but they managed five victories here. So, they have secured their place into the qualification round as one of the four team.

However, this match which was between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi was executed in 16th March, 2018 and Sharjah Cricket Stadium was the host venue in United Arab Emirates. Like the previous few matches, Lahore Qalandars got their luck in toss where they won the toss and learn from the past matches, first batting team at the ground got the victory and so, Qalandars took the bat first. With their batting power Lahore Qalandars played well and Anton Devcich scored highest 70 runs from 42 balls. Due to his destructive innings Qalandars did present 172 runs in front of Peshawar Zalmi. Hasan Ali took two wickets for Zalmi where Lahore lost only four wickets totally in the match.

172 runs was almost sufficient to beat any team in T20 competition but Peshawar Zalmi had to get the precious victory to jump to the next knockout round. So, they started their innings brilliantly. Though they lost their first wickets in 20 runs but later Smith tried to gve company to Kamran Akmal. Akmal played very destructively and remained not out. He left the crease with victory where he scored highest 107 runs in 61 balls. He colored his innings by making eleven 4’s and seven 6’s. By playing only 18 overs Peshawar Zalmi got the victory. Peshawar Zalmi lost only three wickets and won by seven wickets against Lahore Qalandars. Kamran Akmal was the first player to get two centuries in PSL.
