Wankhede Stadium is one of the host stadium of India in next ICC world Cup T20’s. This is also the venue of Opening match and Opening ceremonies. With 33, 108 spectators capacity this stadium were founded at 1974 in Mumbai. Mumbai Cricket Association is the owner of this ground. Mumbai Cricket team and IPL team Mumbai Indian’s is the tenants of this ground besides with Indian National Cricket team.

Wankhede Stadium

Wankhede Stadium was the final’s venue of 2011 ICC World Cup, where India won their 2nd ICC World Cup title after defeating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets. It was also presenting and known as the last test match ground of great Indian cricket ever Sachin Tendulkar. It hosted 24 test matches so far with 20 ODI matches. Most recent ODI match on this field held among India vs. South Africa and there South Africa beat India by 214 runs and which was their biggest defeating margin by run. Last ODI’s Wankhede sees this biggest innings of 438 for 4. And highest test innings is 604 for 6 by West Indies and lowest 93 scored by Australia at 2004-05 season.

Most 1122 runs scored individually by greatest Indian Opener Sunil Gavaskar in test. Where in ODI’s most 455 scored by Sachin Tendulkar in this stadium which fowling by Mohammed Azahar Uddin with 302 runs. Venkatesh Prashad took 15 wickets in this ground and become most wicket taker at Wankhede Stadium
