Jamaica Tallawahs beats Guyana Amazon Warriors to win the CPL – 2016

Jamaica has come from behind to win it all as they have defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors to win the Caribbean Premier League 2016 (CPL 2016).

Not only that, they takes their revenge for loosing on the first qualifier against Guyana. they lost the first qualifier and then defeated Trinbago Knight riders on the 2nd Eliminator to come to the final and there they won it all.

However, unlike those two matches where there were very competitive plays and the match could have gone either way, this time the match could not have more one sided. Jamaica, Basically won the match by thrashing their opponents to bits.

First the bowlers did their part by taking early wickets and not allowing any partnership on the field which allowed them to shut down Guyana to only 93 runs in 16.1 overs. Among the bowlers, Imad Wasim took 3 wickets and Shakib Al hasan and Kesrick Williams took 2 wickets each.

The batting didnt last long either. they won the match in 12.5 overs and scored 95 in that time. Once again, Chris Gayle lead the charge with 54 in only 27 balls at a 200% strike rate. Walton and Sangakara finished the game.

Imad wasim was declared the man of the match and Andre Russel became the man of the series.
