Islamabad United back to winning streak again in PSL 2

Losing their last match against the most poor team Karachi Kings, Islamabad United has come to the winning streak again by achieving victory against Peshawar Zalmi in their last match which was staged in 18th February, 2017. United smashed Peshawar by five wickets and through this, they got three most important victories out of five match in this running second edition of Pakistan Super League. By batting at the first 20 overs, Zalmi scored 136 runs where two Bangladeshi batsmen Tamim and Shakib both were flop. They could not exceed five runs in the where Tamim out with 4 runs and Shakib end up with five runs so far. So, came to chase 136 runs, United reached the given destination by left no balls in hand. At the end of the 20 overs, they scored 137 runs and so, they got the precious victory over them by five wickets.

The last match between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United was the day night competition and the beginning, United won the toss and let Zalmi to bat first. Zalmi also had a number of talented T20 experts but United bowlers were comparatively better than Zalmi. So, batsmen fallen into pressure and it was hard to score runs. Since 17 runs, they started to lose their wickets regularly and no one could make a longer innings where Morgan scored highest 28 runs for the team. Finally, they end up with 136 runs by losing nine wickets so far. Sami took highest three wickets for United.

While chasing such score, Islamabad United stumbled within 1.5 overs when Rafatullah was out by Junaid. Haddin and Billings also did not play for long but finished with 2 and 11 runs respectively. Misbah kept his poor performance in this match also but Watson was only the player to fight strongly by the side of Smith. Smith scored undefeated 72 runs for the team where Watson got run out by scoring 30 runs so far. So, the match came to a turning point and even in the last over, it was uncertain about the winner of the match. But finally all credit went to the Smith who scored 72 runs in 59 balls and led the team to an amazing victory.
