Inzamam Become the Chief Selector

After the failure in the Asia Cup and the World Cup, the transformation winds is blowing in Pakistan Cricket. As this consistency the selection panel is also overhaul. Former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has been appointed as chief selector.

The whispering was continuing from some days. When he left coaching in Afghanistan, and there was not much doubt that Inzamam-ul-Haq will be the Pakistan’s chief selector. Finally, yesterday the official announcement confirmed the whispering.

In addition to Inzamam the four members of the selection committee of his one-time team-mate opener Owazahatul Owasti, the former off-spinner Tauseef Ahmed and former fast bowling all-rounder Wasim Haider.

Owasti’s career was not too long though he sacred a pair of century in his very second test of his career. But career missed out in 6 test and 15 ODI’s. Off-spinner Tauseef played for Pakistan more than 10 years. And played 34 test and 70 ODI for Pakistan. Out of this three Wasim Haider is the less experienced. Played only 3 ODI for Pakistan national team but played played over 100 first-class matches and List ‘A’. With 120 Tests and 378 one-day internationals Inzamam is one of the best batsmen in the history of Pakistan. Pakistan’s highest ODI runs (11701) is for him, the third highest Test runs (8829) as well.
