India won 2nd Test against Australia by 75 runs at Bangalore

After facing a shameful defeat against Australia in the first Test, team India was desperate to win the second test and they also knew that if they failed, they could lose the entire series. However, they were about to lost the 2nd match as well but due to their spinners named Ashwin and Jadeja, at the 4th day of the second match, they destroyed Aussie batting line up within 112 runs. So, finally, India won the 2nd match by 75 runs. Now, the Test series has come to a level with 1 – 1. Now, there are still two matches left where the 3rd match will start in next 16th March, 2017.

However, earlier of 4th March, 2017, India won the toss and came to bat at Bangalore. Though, facing horrible moment in the first Test, BCCI changed the field nature in Bangalore but however, the Blues could not stand in front of Aussie spinners. O’Keefe was dim who took almost 12 wickets in the first test. But another spinner, Nathan Lyon was destructive and took eight wickets and stopped Indian innings in 189 runs before the end of the first day. However, Aussie came to bat and they stood on the crease the rest of the first day, the whole second day and the 1st session of the 3rd day. They scored 276 runs and being all out. But by then, the field nature changed completely where pacers and spinners got facility. Basically, the crease turned to bowling favoured. But, due to strong batting line up, India scored 274 runs in the second innings and placed 188 runs target in front of Australia. But, came to chase such poor score, Aussie batsmen could not last long in front of Ashwin who alone took six wickets and stopped Aussie innings in 112 runs.

Team India managed a tough victory over Australia but as a skipper and top batsman, Virat Kohli also flop in the match as well. He scored just 12 runs in the first innings and being lbw by Lyon. Though, he applied one review for this decision but that could not change his fate. In the second innings, he scored 15 runs and faced another lbw by Hazlewood.

Now, they have two matches in hand and to secure the series, both teams will try to win the 3rd match which will be staged at Ranchi.
