India suffer batting collapse in the 1st innings against the Lions

The first Test between Sri Lanka and India has already started in 16th November, 2017 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Since the beginning of the match, rain has affected the game and so, at the first day of the Kolkata Test, just 11.5 overs were staged. In 2nd day, there was also rain and so, just 21.5 overs was played successfully. India lost three wickets at the first day and in second day, their score was 74 by losing five wickets so far. It seems they could not play against the Lions bowlers. India suffer batting collapse in the 1st innings against the Lions. Before the launch in the 3rd day, India lost their rest wickets. Totally they have played 59.3 overs against Sri Lankan bowlers where Pujara scored highest 52 runs for the team. Team skipper Virat Kohli made a 0 by playing 11 balls. They have totally gathered 172 runs at the end. Today is the 3rd day of the match and it seems the 1st test would end up with a draw.

Sri Lanka cricket team is currently visiting in India where they are scheduled to play a complete series against India. Their tour consists of Test, ODI and T20I matches. They have already started the competition with long format cricket which consists of three matches Test series. 1st Test is going on where Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first. Due to rain, the first test causes much and Indian batsmen failed to read the opponent bowlers it seems. Came to bat at Kolkata, India lost a wicket in 0 runs at the first ball of the match. KL Rahul was the Prey back then. Dhawan was no better than him but scored just 8 runs and got out. Pujara came up but at the end of the crease the wickets used to fall continuously. Virat Kohli who is most reliable player of Indian team but scored just 0 run. It was a chance for India that first day finished due to rain so early but in the meantime, India lost three wickets.

In the second day, Pujara stood strong but like before Rahane and Ashwin got out with 4  and 4 runs respectively. Saha and Pujara tried a bit but their partnership failed to last long. After the fifth wickets gone, they 2nd day of the test ended up due to rain again. In the 3rd day, before the launch break, India got all out by scoring just 172 runs. For Sri Lanka, Lakmal took highest four wickets where Gamage, Shanaka and Perera took two wickets each.
