Team India is one of the superpower cricket playing nation and regarded as the big team so far. Against them, most of the teams have no recent good record. In that case, the small team like Ireland as usual very weak. Recently team India visited Ireland and played a two matches T20I series. The tour was small which consists of 27th to 29th June, 2018. Earlier, Ireland took much preparation to face India but that did not work. They played a tri nation series against Scotland and Netherlands but failed to win the series. Finally they faced India and at the first match, they faced defeat by 76 runs. They had hope to win the 2nd match but India destroyed Ireland by 143 runs and secured the series.

Ireland is regarded as the rising team and powerful enough in T20 format to defeat any nations so far. But in the 2nd T20I against India, they faced batting disaster and getting all out so early. In the match, they scored only 70 runs so far. It was the 3rd short score in T20I competitions. Besides, It was the biggest victory for India in T20I cricket and 2nd biggest victory in T20I history.

In 29th June, 2018 the 2nd T20I between India and Ireland took place at the same venue named the Village, Malahide. Like the first match, Ireland won the toss and decided to bowl first. Earlier in the first match, they took the same decision but faced defeat and now, they stood their ground. Basically, at the home venue they knew chasing would be easy for them.

Rahul and Kohli started the match for India where Kohli scored 9 runs only. Later, Rahul and Raina made a partnership of more than 100 runs where Rahul scored 70 runs and Raina scored 69 runs so far. Finally Pandey and Pandya remained not out with 21 and 32 runs so far. Based on their score, team India lost four wickets and scored 213 runs in 20 overs. Bowlers of Ireland were too expensive and O’Brien took highest three wickets so far.

Once again, the openers of Ireland were failed and four more players did touch two figure runs. Porterfield scored 14 runs, captain Wilson scored 15 runs, Thompson scored 13 runs and Rankin scored 10 runs so far. In 12.3 overs team Ireland lost all wickets and scored 70 runs so far. Chahal and Yadav took three wickets each for India.
