Hobart Hurricanes win by 7 runs

Currently the 7th season of Big Bash League is going on. This is an Australian based T20 league cricket competition which is widely regarded as Big Bash or BBL tournament. In every calendar year, it used to stage where total eight participants used to take part. In the season already four round of the tournament has finished and in the 1st match of the round five was staged earlier today where Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers faced against each other. In the match, Hobart Hurricanes win by 7 runs.

This was the 17th match of the tournament which was taken place in 4th January, 2018 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. Besides, in the day/ night competition first bowling team used to get much benefit and win the match considering previous calculation. Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat instead of bowling. Their decision was good enough and came to bat, they presented 183 runs target where D’Arcy Short played a 96 runs innings in 58 balls. Based on his score, the team did able to present such runs. On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers chased the score but unfortunately they could not bring the glory but faced a defeat there. They scored well  but finally lost by only 7 runs. Colin Ingram scored 66 runs in 44 balls for Strikers.

Doolan and Short started the innings for Hobart Hurricanes and their opening partnership added 60 runs when Doolan was gone with 29 runs so far. But Short played destructively. At the end of the crease his companion used to change couple of times. He played well and scored 96 runs but unfortunately gave catch in the moment. He played just 58 balls and made nine 4’s and four 6’s in his innings. Later, Wade remained not out with 20 runs. At the end of 20 overs, Hobart Hurricanes finished their innings with 183 runs in exchange for five wickets. Rashid Khan and Stanlake took two wickets each for Strikers.

Carey and Weatherald started the innings for Adelaide Strikers but in 10 runs both of them were gone. Carey scored 2 runs and Weatherald scored 7 runs so far. Later, Head who was the captain of the team came up and joined with Ingram. Their partnership added more than 100 runs to the scoreboard when Head was gone with 44 runs. Ingram played with Wells and scored 66 runs. They were about to win but rest players did not make shots and so, by scoring 176 runs, their innings finished when they still had wickets in hand. Archer took highest three wickets for Hurricanes.
