Herath – New Sri Lankan Captain

Sri Lankan Left arm off spinner Rangana Herath spread more light towards the end of his career. Adding team leadership to his name as well as the Sri Lankan great bowling. Because of injuries of the regular vice-captain Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal left-handed Herath will lead upcoming Zimbabwe series

After Somacandra de Silva as the leader of Sri Lanka, Herath will be the second oldest captain of Sri Lanka. De Silva was captain in 1983 at the age of 40. The current age of Herath is 38.

Herath now has 332 Tests wickets in74 test. Before that, he was played 71 ODIs and 17 T-Twenties for his national team. However, be more careful in test, he already retired from ODI and T-Twenty. The first Test between Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe in Harare on October 9 this year will be held. On November 6, the second and final Test kicks off at the same venue.
