Looking at the Indian squad for the next month’s limited-overs series against Australia, it somewhat seems like the selectors have rolled back the years.

Besides Yuvraj Singh, the likes of Harbhajan Singh and Ashish Nehra also made the cut in the MS Dhoni-led squad for the prestigious bilateral tie. The squad certainly took many by surprise but also aroused curiosity among the fans to see their favourite stars reclaim their position in the national team. And Yuvraj, himself, was no exception!

Touting Harbhajan as a “legend”, Yuvraj asserted that the veteran off-spinner ought to have one more chance, especially after impressing at the recently-concluded South Africa series.

“Bhajji is a legend and he definitely deserved another chance,” Yuvraj told BCCI.TV. “He bowled really well in the ODI series against South Africa. He has been there for a while now.”

He also expressed delight at the inclusion of left-arm speedster Ashish Nehra, who caught selectors’ eyes at the Indian Premier League (IPL).

“More than myself I am happy for him (Nehra),” said Yuvraj. “I have watched him since the initial days of my career when we started to play together. He has battled a lot of injuries and worked insanely hard always. Recently, I would say that he was the best bowler in the last two IPL seasons. It is heartening to see him get rewarded for that and I am thrilled for him.”
