There has been a lot of chitchat ever since Ravichandran Ashwin was selected as India’s prime off-spinner across all formats of the game, relegating veteran Harbhajan Singh off the international circuit.

However, Harbhajan’s fortunes took yet another turn as he regained his place in the Indian side for their one-off Test match against Bangladesh, which is scheduled to be held from June 10-14 in Fatullah.

“Bowling with Ashwin will be good, his motive as well as mine is to win the game for India,” the 34-year-old was quoted as saying by IANS ahead of the team’s departure for the bilateral series in the neighboring country.

“We are going there as a team and we need to push everyone together towards the direction of victory,” he added.

Following the solitary Test, both India and Bangladesh are slated to lock horns in a 3-match One-Day International (ODI) from June 18-24.
