Chris Gayle twitted yesterday that he is looking forward to partner with Tamim for the Chittagong Vikings on November 27 at Mirpur stadium for the ongoing BPL 2016/17 tournament. The smiling face of the Vikings captain also suggests that the chemistry would be great if this two could click well.

Tamim is the top ranked player in all formats from Bangladesh, but Gayle has to be measured by the scale of T20 game. Gayle is the undisputed king of T20 cricket. Almost all the records are in his bag. These two starts are melting in one point this season for the Chittagong Vikings are going to open for the team.

Gayle to Open Tamim

Bowlers from the other end might tremble if both the batsmen starts breathing fire. Both Tamim and Gayle has similarity in batting a talking. Tamim earlier said that he was very eager to bat with Gayle which he never did before. Tamim praised Gayle and said cricket seems an easy game when Gayle plays it.

On the other hand Gayle is also feeling call from the Mirpur crease. He wants to be patient and learn from Tamim as he is with the game before Gayle entered. Gayle hopes he could follow Tamim to understand the condition quick and become set and attack. He wants to bring the team a blasting start.

The presence of  Chris Gayle already means a nerve pressure for the other team. Why that shouldn’t be? He means a tons of runs and a flamboyant exhibition of sixes. But sometimes Gayle became the boomerang for the team. Tamim wants every player to play for the team and not to be dependent on Gayle only. He wants to be cautious if Gayle fails. He also wants that there should not be any Gayle factor or any X-factor in the team. He does not want to give extra emphasis to any one. That’s like a captain!

Gayle regularly performed well in the last consecutive BPLs. He has 3 centuries in this tournament and which happens to be the highest from one player in BPL. He has an average of 77.28 runs in 10 matches and a total of 541. He has a record of 50 sixes in the same tournament. But Gayle was never bothered by the statistics, and said he wants to entertain the crown. He had a long rest of 6 months after he played for PCL. Many twitted to see Gayle in the field and he is back.

Gayle is here and Tamim too is in form. Let’s hope a great match against the table topper Rangpur Riders with Shahid Afridi with their side.
