England won by 2 runs at Hamilton

England, New Zealand and Australia taken part in Trans-Tasman Tri-Series which was staged at Australia and New Zealand. Basically the tournament is a T20 series which consists of six group stage matches. Among them top team teams will qualify for the next final round. Australia already secured their place in final but England and New Zealand failed to secured and looking forward to the last match. Earlier, New Zealand once beat England and so, they went ahead of the English team. So, if Black Caps beat England in the last match, they will secure their place in final as well. But it did not happened. England won by 2 runs at Hamilton against New Zealand in last match. But unfortunately England won the game only for 2 runs differences and they lost the match against the same team by 12 runs. Considering the run difference, Black Caps jumped to the final of the Trans-Tasman Tri-Series so far.

Earlier, New Zealand and England both played two matches against Australia in the event and both of them failed to win any match against the Aussie team.

The match between England and New Zealand was the 6th match if the tournament which was staged in 18th February, 2018 at Seddon Park, Hamilton. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first in the match. So, England came to bat. They were in pressure and was no other way out but to win the match. They presented a destructive innings against Black Caps. Finally in 20 overs team England lost seven wickets and scored 194 runs so far. Eoin Morgan scored 80 runs highest for the team England. He faced only 46 balls and made number of boundaries. Trent Boult took three wickets in 4 overs. He was very expensive bowlers and in his 4 overs, he gave 50 runs so far.

Later, team Black Caps came to chase the score. They also played very well but it was not their day. They also dominated English bowlers. Martin Guptill scored highest 62 runs in 47 balls. Finally by losing four wickets team New Zealand ended their innings scoring 192 runs. They were lost by 2 runs only. Bowlers of the England were not quite successful. Adil Rashid took only 1 wicket for England. Finally Eoin Morgan took the player of the match award. Though, England won the match but due to run difference they failed to qualify for the final.
