England got victory over the Blues by 7 wickets in 1st T20 at Kanpur

Team England has started the T20 series against India after facing Test and ODI series defeat. The twenty20 series has started in 26th January, 2016 where England won the first match by seven wickets. India scored 147 runs which chased by the English team easily. So, England took the lead by 1 – 0. The T20 series consists of three matches where England jumped one step ahead of India. Their second match will be staged in 29th January, 2017. Earlier the tournament, England team revealed their T20 squad where they replaced Alex Hales by Tymal Mills. Mills is a 24 years old English bowlers who played just two international T20 matches but proved him as worthy short form cricket player.

In the first T20 match at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur in 26th january, 2017, England won the toss and decided to field first. As became the host, India knew their field nature very well but came to bat, Rahul got out so early with his 8 runs. Virat Kohli also gave his wickets by making just 29 runs. After his departure, Dhoni and Raina tried to make a stand but found no better batting position only scored 36 and 34 runs respectively. As a result, they scored 147 runs at the end of the 20 overs by losing seven wickets so far. However, Indian batting lineup used to be the best in the cricket world but in that day no one could make their inning stable. On the other side, English bowlers were quite successful in that day where all bowlers at least got a wickets and Ali took highest two wickets so far.

Chasing 147 runs, first breakthrough came up in 42 runs when Chahal took Roy and in the following next ball, he stroke again and this time, he took Billings. Lost two wickets consecutively, England fallen into pressure but they also possessed the best batting line up in their history. So, later Root and captain Morgan started to play carefully where Morgan was out with his 51 runs which was the tournament’s highest score. Root remained unbeaten with 46 runs. So, England reached the destination in 18.1 overs with seven wickets in hand. So, in three matches twenty20 series, England is in leading position.
