England confirmed series by winning 2nd ODI against West Indies

England played 2nd ODI against West Indies yesterday at the same venue of Antigua where they won by four wickets. So, winning second ODI, team England has finally secured the series by 2 – 0. Now, they have still one match left and if they would manage 3rd victory as well, West Indies will be whitewashed. But, team Windies would try to avoid whitewash and try desperately to win the 3rd match. However, after a long time, team West Indies has arranged a home tournament and invited England to visit their ground. Though, the tour consists of three ODI matches where the first match was placed in 3rd March, 2017. But before playing the main competition, English team also played two warm up matches there with UWI Vice Chancellor’s XI and West Indies Cricket Board President’s XI. And in all catches, they yet to test lose. In the second ODI against Windies, the visitor faced a little problem to meet the target but due to their long batting line, they recovered worse.

However, earlier yesterday, Windies won the toss and opted to bat first. But, within just 11 runs, they tested the breakthrough by Finn when Lewis got out. Since then, they regularly lost wickets. Since the beginning of the match, West Indies fought for runs and their scoring rate was lower than as usual. In 4th wicket partnership added highest more than 60 runs to the scoreboard and just one player made individual fifty runs highest for the team. Opener Brathwaite scored 42 runs in 70 balls so far. In 47.5 overs, team Windies lost their all wickets by scoring 225 runs. English bowlers were quite successful in that day where Plunkett took highest three wickets for them.

On the other hand, it has been told that current England team is one of the most balanced team ever in English history and so, to chase 225 runs was not so big for them. Though, in just 1 run, they lost Sam Billings but Roy last long enough with Root where Roy scored 52 by 48 balls and Root remained not out with 90 runs so far. But, in the match, Morgan, Stokes, Buttler and Ali could not pass to the two figure runs but Woakes played till the last with Root and scored 68 runs so far. They led the team to the destination by playing 48.2 overs.
