England beat New Zealand by 4 runs

Earlier in 3rd March, 2018 at Wellington Regional Stadium in Wellington the 3rd ODI match between England and New Zealand was staged where England beat New Zealand by 4 runs. The team England is currently travelling in New Zealand and as per the schedule, they are playing an ODI series against the Black Caps.

Team England and New Zealand both took part in recently finished Trans Tasman Tri Series which was a T20I competition. Along with them Australia also participated there and won the title. The tournament was staged in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to the tournament, England started their travel in Australia due to play Ashes and an ODI series. They lost Ashes but won ODI tournament against Aussie team.

However, the 3rd ODI between England and Black Caps started in 3rd March at Wellington. It is located in New Zealand. Earlier in the 3rd match, New Zealand won the toss and let England to bat first at the ground. As the local team, they knew their ground well and as toss winning team, they took the chance. In the day/ night match England came to bat first and played whole fifty overs and lost all wickets so far. They scored 234 runs in the meantime. Eoin Morgan scored highest 48 runs in 71 balls for team England. FOr Black Caps Ish Sodhi took three wickets in 10 overs.

Later, New Zealand came to chase 234 runs at their home venue. The score was not sufficient and so, England was about to lose the match for certain. But English bowlers did their job quite well and tied Black Caps innings. So, by playing full 50 overs New Zealand finished their innings scoring 230 runs so far. They had also two wickets in hand where Kane Williamson scored unbeaten 112 runs in 143 balls. Moeen Ali took three wickets for England team highest.

Jason Roy and Bairstow failed to make an impressive start for England where Roy scored 15 runs and Bairstow scored 19 runs so far. Later, Root came up but failed to impress the audience. He scored 20 runs so far. Captain Morgan and Stokes played almost better than top three players where Morgan scored 48 runs and Stokes scored 39 runs so far. Buttler also failed to judge his name who scored 29 runs so far. By losing all wickets in 50 overs England came to a total 234 runs. Excluding Sodhi, Boult took two wickets and Southee and Grandhomme took one wicket each.
