Dhaka Dynamites won by 99 runs

Bangladesh Premier League or BPL top flight Dhaka Dynamites is the current champion and also participated in ongoing season of BPL as the defending champion. They are also the most successful team in history of BPL where they won BPL title thrice times. Recently their performance is also good in the season and has the chance to win the title once again. To the path of the title, Dhaka Dynamites won by 99 runs against Rajshahi Kings in the game of phase four which was staged in Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka at 2nd December, 2017. For Dhaka, Sunil Narine scored 69 runs highest and Shakib took four wickets so far. Dhaka won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 205 runs first which could not be chased by Rajshahi Kings successfully. So, Dynamites got the most demanded victory there.

It was the day/ night competition where Dhaka decided to bat first by winning the toss. They had some most expert players in their squad where Denly and Narine opened their innings. They made a great partnership out there and it was broken by Mahidy Hasan Miraz who took Narine in 129 runs. Narine scored 69 runs in the meantime. Just after three runs, another opener Denly was gone with his individual 53 runs. Delport was gone before opening his run account but Pollard and Afridi played a bit quitely. Pollard scored 33 runs in 14 balls. Finally, in selected 20 overs Dhaka Dynamites scored 205 runs by losing five wickets so far. Opponent bowlers were so expensive in the match where Qazi Onik took highest two wickets so far.

205 runs in a T20 match was huge to chase and the openers of Rajshahi Kings stumbled at the beginning. When the team run 1, they lost first wicket Simmons and at the same score, they lost another brilliant player Luke Wright. In 9 runs their skipper Mushfiqur Rahim was gone with 0 run. However, within 19 runs Rajshahi lost their top four wickets. Most players failed to score double figure runs but Patel scored highest 28 runs so far. In the circumstances they seemed wait for honourable defeat. But their innings finished with 106 runs so far. In 18.3 overs, team Rajshahi Kings lost their all wickets. Dhaka skipper Shakib took highest four wickets in four overs. He gave just 8 runs. Mosaddek Hossain and Shadman Islam took two wickets each for Dhaka Dynamites.
