Dhaka Dynamites won by 68 runs against Rajshahi

Today the 19th match of ongoing Bangladesh Premier League was hosted at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka and the match was between Dhaka Dynamites and Rajshahi Kings. In the match, Dhaka Dynamites won by 68 runs against Rajshahi Kings. It was the 4th victory of Dhaka and as usual they have grabbed the top position on the point table. Totally, they have played six matches till now in the ongoing season of BPL where they claimed victory four times so far. On the other hand, Rajshahi Kings are in 5th position after today’s match. Among six matches, they have won just twice times so far.

Dhaka Dynamites won by 68 runs against Rajshahi

Rajshahi Kings won the toss and decided to field first. Basically considering the previous matches in the ground of the tournament of BPL, 2nd batting team used to have the much possibility to win the match. So, to decide to bowl was the wise decision for Rajshahi Kings. Dhaka came to bat first and scored huge runs there. They scored 201 runs but in return, Rajshahi got packet in 133 runs in 18.2 overs. So, Dhaka has got victory easily by 68 runs so far.

Opening of Dhaka was good with the two openers Evin Lewis and Shahid Afridi. Though Afridi scored just 15 runs in 8 balls but Evin Lewis scored 64 runs highest in 38 balls. He made ten 4’s and one 6 in his innings. Top orders were failed but middle orders of Dhaka were quite successful. Kumar Sangakkara scored 28 runs where Kieron Pollard scored unbeaten 52 runs in 25 balls so far. Finally at the end of 20 overs, Dhaka successfully made 201 runs which was too high to chase though not impossible. Dhaka just lost seven wickets to get the score.

In return, Rajshahi Kings started to bat with Mominul and Rony. But since the beginning they were under pressure to chase that big score. As a result, in just two runs, their opening partnership was broken. Rony made a duck there. Samit Patel came up but scored just 6 runs. In their team, Zakir Hasan played a bit well. He scored highest 36 runs in 23 balls. Rest batsmen just came and visit the ground it seems. They lost all wickets in 133 runs in 18.2 overs. Shahid Afridi took highest four wickets for the team Dhaka.
