Delhi Daredevils could not defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad

Delhi Daredevils is a franchise team in Indian Premier League and also considered as renowned participant here. They yet to touch the title of IPL since the beginning where the team is led by Iyer in the season. They have Show and Maxwell in the squad and also a hard hitter Pant in the team as well. But their performance in the season is not so good. They are in the last position on the point table. and going to eliminate from the group stage. In 36th match of the ongoing season of IPL, Delhi Daredevils could not defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad where SRH played at the home venue and dominated the match in all three sectors.

Delhi Daredevils could not defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad is very talkative franchise team in the season and they are comparatively new franchise team which is not the founding member of IPL. But already tested the glory of IPL title so far. In the ongoing season, they are in very  good form and sometimes they are holding the top position on the point table. They will qualify for the knockout phase in IPL for sure.

The match between Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad was the 36th match which took place at the home venue of SRH. The venue was Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium where it was the 2nd match in the 5th May, 2018. Though, DD got the toss winning favour but failed to use it against the host team. They took the bat first in the match. They played well in their first innings.

Shaw and Maxwell started the innings for the toss winning team DD. Shaw scored highest 65 runs but Maxwell did not give him company. He scored only 2 runs. In the one down, captain Iyer came and made a partnership with Shaw. He scored 44 runs so far. Based on their score, the team finished 20 overs scoring 163 runs in exchange for five wickets. Pant scored 18 runs and Shankar scored 23 runs unbeaten so far.

Later, Sunrisers Hyderabad came to chase the score. Hales and Dhawan started to chase for SRH. Both made a dashing opening for the local team. Hales scored 45 runs and Dhawan scored 33 runs so far. Later, captain Williamson and Pandey made another partnership. Williamson scored 32 runs and remained not out. Pandey scored 21 runs and Pathan scored 27 runs unbeaten for the team. In 19.5 overs Sunrisers Hyderabad chased the score by losing three wickets totally.
