Cheteshwar Pujara could not same Yorkshire

Worcestershire has played two matches in group stage of Royal London One Day Cup 2018 and both times they won the games. In their last match their opponent team’s player made a century but still Cheteshwar Pujara could not same Yorkshire against Worcestershire. If we consider the statistics of Yorkshire, they have played three matches in the tournament already but managed only one victory.

Cheteshwar Pujara could not same Yorkshire

The Royal London One Day Cup 2018 is a annual first class competition based on England and Wales. ECB used to organise the tournament where total eight teams used to take part. In the season of 2018, same number of teams have participated and they are competing in the tournament by divided with two ground. Worcestershire and Yorkshire are here from North group.

Generally we see that in the matches of the event, most of the team used to score plenty of runs. The toss winning team used to decide for batting instead of ball and in most of the case, first batting team win the match. In the case of the match between Yorkshire and Worcestershire, it took place in 23rd may, 2018 at Headingley, Leeds. In the match, Yorkshire won the toss but decided to bowl first. For Worcestershire Patrick Brown made his List A debut. So, the toss losing team came yo bat.

Daryl Mitchell and Joe started to bat for Worcestershire. In 14 runs Daryl was gone with 11 runs so far. In 2nd wicket partnership between Joe and Travis, they added more than 100 runs where Joe scored 61 runs and Travis scored highest 77 runs so far. Most of the players of the team got runs where Fell scored 32 runs, Brett scored 23 runs, Ross scored 66 runs and Ben scored 50 runs for the team respectively. By losing 6 wickets team Worcestershire scored 350 runs in 50 overs. Adil Rashid and Steven Patterson took two wickets for the team Yorkshire in the match.

Opening partnership of Yorkshire was also good. They made 72 runs partnership where Adam scored 29 runs. In the 2nd wicket partnership, they also added 100 runs. Tom scored 89 runs and Pujara scored 101 runs so far. They did their job but rest players failed to do so. Jack scored 25 runs, Tim scored 26 runs and Adil scored 24 runs so far. In 50 overs they lost nine wickets and scored 346 runs. They went too close but unfortunately failed to take the victory.
