Brisbane Test: India continued their disappointing run in foreign conditions as they succumbed to their second consecutive loss to Australia in the ongoing 4-match Test series Down Under.

Earlier, riding on a fluent century from opener Murali Vijay, India piled up 408 runs in the first essay, before the hosts – led by skipper Steve Smith’s ton – took a healthy 97-run lead.

In the second innings, the visitors stumbled with the willow against a lethal Australian bowling unit. Except Shikhar Dhawan, no other batsmen daunted their oppositions, as India got bundled out for 224 runs.

Chasing a paltry target of 128 runs, the Australians looked a bit rusty, as they kept losing wickets after regular intervals, before successful accomplishing the total with 4 wickets in hand, and eventually took a 2-0 lead in this series.

Up next, the two teams will now lock horns in the third Test match, which is scheduled to begin from December 25 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
