Black Caps won over the Aussie in inaugural ODI at Eden Park, Auckland

New Zealand has just finished a dual tournament with the Tigers where they played Tests, ODIs and T20Is. In all three formats, they destroyed Bangladesh completely. From the tournament, the Tigers could not gain anything only but experience. Now, Black Caps are in top form and invited Australia to visit their country and a ODI series scheduled were almost completed. On the other and, Australia also just finished a series with Pakistan where they whitewashed Pakistan in Test and won also an ODI series with them. by 4 – 1. They were also in top form and they are currently visiting New Zealand where they are scheduled to play three matches ODI series. However, the first ODI between Australia and New Zealand was already executed where New Zealand got an amazing victory over Australia. Basically, Black Caps bowlers played the most important role during the match and destroyed the Aussie batting lineup.

Earlier today, Australia won the toss at Eden Park, Auckland and decided to field first. Like Australia, New Zealand ground are suitable for second batting. Besides, Australia thought that their bowlers could be very effective in the morning. They took the first Black Caps wickets in 13 runs but Guptill stood very strong at the end of the crease. After falling the first wickets, next two batsmen also could not justify their name. Later, Broom and Guptill made a partnership  and both of them crossed fifty runs each and Broom scored highest 73 runs. Neesham also one of the contributor of the score. However, they finished their innings by losing nine wickets and scored 286 runs. Australia bowled very well indeed.

Australia came to chase 286 runs in their innings but fallen into batting accident and lost their top three wickets within 18 runs and in following next 50 runs lost another three of them. In this circumstances, Stoini took the lead of the team and made an unbeaten century. He scored 146 runs in 117 balls. He tried to make a bond with Faulkner and Cummins but they followed just the previous batsmen. So, they got all out in 47 overs and only failed to make another five runs. They scored total 280 runs so far.

However, in three matches ODI series, New Zealand is now on leading position by 1 – 0. Their next match will be staged in 2nd February, 2017.
