Sledging has been one thing that has stood out in the ongoing Australia-India Test series apart from the highly-competitive spirit the two teams have shown.

While the home captain Tim Paine hasn’t shied away from indulging in verbal altercations, visiting wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant has been India’s prime talker from behind the stumps.

Naturally, the duo clashed during the Melbourne Test last week, with Paine asking Pant if he would babysit his kids.

“Tell you what big MS (Dhoni) is back in the one-day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes… They need a batter,” Paine taunted.

He went on: “Fancy that extend you Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too… get him a waterfront apartment. Have him over for dinner.

“Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids.”

Pant, the chirpy guy that he is, didn’t spare Paine when he later on came out to bat.

“We have got a special guest here. Have you heard the word temporary captain? You [Ravindra Jadeja] don’t need anything to get him out. Come on lads.

“He loves to talk, that’s the only thing he can do. Only talking talking,” Pant had said.

And now, Paine’s wife Bonnie joined in by taking a dig at Pant when the two teams were hosted by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in Sydney on Tuesday.

In a picture shared by Bonnie on her official Instagram account, Pant can be seen holding one her kids in his arms, with the former captioning the snap: “Best babysitter.”

Interesting to see how Pant responds to it.
