Bangladesh won T20I series against West Indies

Earlier, team Bangladesh brought a balance in T20I series by winning the 2nd match. They faced defeat in the first match and so, the series came to a level by 1 – 1. 3rd T20I was the final match for sure. And Bangladesh won T20I series against West Indies by winning the 3rd T20I match. So, they won the T20I series by 2 – 1 games. Like the 2nd match, the 3rd T20I took place in United States. At the same venue, this two guest teams played their final match.

Bangladesh won T20I series against West Indies

In 5th August, 2018 the 3rd T20I took place and the host ground was Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida. Earlier the match, team Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. In the 2nd match, they won by batting first though, they lost the toss and in the 2nd T20I.

Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal started to bat at the beginning. They jointly added 61 runs when Tamim was gone with 21 runs. Liton did not play well in the 2nd match but in the 3rd T20I, he showed his magic. He faced 32 balls and scored 61 runs so far. He made six 4’s and three 6’s there. Besides, Mushfiq scored 12 runs, Shakib added 24 runs in the match. Finally Mahmudullah and Arif remained not out with 32 and 18 runs so far. By playing all 20 overs team Bangladesh scored 184 runs in exchange for five wickets. Brathwaite and Paul took two wickets each for the team West Indies.

Team Bangladesh scored more runs in the 3rd match than the 2nd T20I. So, it was tough to chase 184 runs in front of Bangladesh top rated bowlers. Then Walton and Fletcher started the innings for Windies. In 26 runs opener Fletcher was gone. He scored 6 runs only. Walton added 19 runs and Samuels added 2 runs so far. Rest three players added few runs where Powell scored 23 runs, Ramdin scored 21 runs and Russell scored highest 47 runs. They failed to score enough runs but playing 17.1 overs team Windies scored 135 runs. In the meantime, rain affected the match and so, using D/L method, Bangladesh was declared by 19 runs. Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets where rest four bowlers took one wicket each for the team Bangladesh. Through the T20I series, the Tigers finished their West Indies and United States tour finally.
