Bangladesh won ODI series against West Indies

The Tigers which is the common name of Bangladesh cricket team, is currently visiting West Indies and the United States. However, the USA tour is yet to star where they will play couple of T20I matches against West Indies. They started the duel competition against West Indies with the Test series. The series consisted of two matches and the Tigers faced defeat in both times. So, they missed the Test series against West Indies. Due to the reason team Bangladesh has taken a great revenge on them. Bangladesh won ODI series against West Indies after that. Now, both teams won one series each. After nine years the Tigers managed a series victory on abroad.

Bangladesh won ODI series against West Indies

The Tigers have played a three matches ODI series against the local team West Indies. All three matches took place in the two different venues. The ODI series started in 22nd July, 2018 and in the opening match, the Tigers managed victory by 48 runs. later, in 2nd ODI which took place in 25th July, 2018 and in the match, local team West Indies brought balance by winning. So, 3rd match was the final match and the winning team Bangladesh secured the series.

In 28th July, 2018 the 3rd ODI between Bangladesh and West Indies took place and the hosting ground was Warner Park, Basseterre. The umpires were Sundaram Ravi from India and Joel Wilson from West Indies. In the match, the Tigers won the toss and decided to bat first.

Tamim and Anamul started the innings for the Tigers. In 35 runs Anamul was gone when Shakib Al Hasan came up. He made a partnership with Tamim and Jointly they added almost 90 runs so far. Shakib scored 37 runs. Tamim stood strong at the end of the crease. He also played with Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah and made a century. He also made a century in the first ODI. He scored 103 runs this time. On the other hand, Mahmudullah scored 67 runs and remained unbeaten. The captain of the team Mashrafe scored 36 runs so far. In 50 overs the Tigers scored 301 runs in exchange for six wickets.

Gayle and Lewis started the innings for West Indies very good. In 53 runs opening partnership was broken. Gayle scored 73 runs where Hope scored 64 runs and Powell remained not out with 74 runs so far. They played well but could not finish the innings well. They played also 50 overs and scored 283 runs in exchange for six wickets as well.
