Bangladesh won by 12 runs

Team Bangladesh is traveling West Indies and United States after long time and the purpose is to play a Test, ODI and T20I series against home team West Indies. Two matches will take place at United States so far. They started the tour with Test series and the Tigers faced defeat in Test series by 2 – 0 games. However, they turned around in the ODI series and beat the Windies team by 2 – 1 games. Now, the Tigers are in T20I schedule. In the first match, local team West Indies won the match by 7 wickets considering D/L method. In the 2nd match which took place at Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida Team Bangladesh won by 12 runs against Windies and so, the series have come to an even. Both teams won one match each. So, the 3rd match will be the final between them.

In 4th August, 2018 the 2nd T20I match started where it took place in United States. West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first at Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida. So, the Tigers came to open the innings with bat.

Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal started the innings where in 7 runs, opener Liton Das was gone with 1 individual run. Later, wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim joined with Tamim but in 24 runs, their partnership were broken. Mushfiq was gone with 4 runs so far. Soumya was no better but scored 14 runs. But captain Shakib played well. He made a partnership with Tamim and almost added 100 runs. Tami scored highest 74 runs where Shakib scored 60 runs so far. Mahmudullah and Ariful remained not out with 13 and 1 run so far. By playing 20 overs team Bangladesh scored 171 runs in exchange for five wickets. Nurse and Paul took two wickets each for the team West Indies.

171 runs was high enough to chase in T20I. So, Fletcher and Lewis started to bat but in 5 runs opener Lewis was gone. He scored just 1 run. Russell added 17 runs and Samuels scored 10 runs so far. Top four players added few runs and so, team West Indies falled under pressure. Opener Fletcher scored 43 runs jointly highest with Powell who scored also 43 runs so far. They also played 20 overs but failed to chased 171 runs. Their innings finished scoring 159 runs. They lost 9 wickets totally in the match. Nazmul Islam and Mustafiz took three wickets each for the Tigers.
