Bangladesh was lost by six wickets

Team Bangladesh has recently lost a Test series against South Africa by 2 – 0 and also they were lost by huge differences. Now, they are going to play a ODI series against the same team. But before that they have played a warm up match against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI at Bloemfontein. The match was staged in ODI format and it was a good learning period of the Tigers and also an opportunity to sharpen their strategy. But ultimately Bangladesh was lost by six wickets against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI. The team is also called as CSA XI.

Bangladesh was lost by six wickets

In ODI, team Bangladesh has Mashrafe Mortaza as their captain while Mushfiqur Rahim was the Test skipper of the Tigers. So, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. However, Bangladeshi top orders were super flop in the match. Though, the performance of Soumya was consecutively bad but however, coach wanted to field him every time. He as usual started the innings very bad and almost presented his wicket to the bowlers in just 31 team runs. He scored just 3 runs by facing 13 balls. Imrul was no better opener than him. He also was out in the same 31 team runs with his individual 27 runs so far. Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das also followed the openers. Mahmudullah also scored just 21 runs where Rahim scored 22 runs for the Tigers. Sabbir and Shakib took the lead of the team and made a almost 80 runs partnership. Both scored fifty where Shakib scored highest 68 runs for the team and Sabbir Rahman scored 52 runs. The history of Sabbir also not impressive but Nasir Hossain was on the best eleven but could not prove himself. Most of the players crossed double figure runs but only Sabbir and Shakib made their innings longer. So, they finished their innings in 255 runs by playing 48.1 overs. CSA XI used seven bowlers and most of them got at least one wickets.

Came to chase 255 runs, their opening partnership stood strong. Markram and Breetzke made 147 runs partnership and Nasir Hossain made a breakthrough. He took Markram with 82 runs. Breetzke also scored 71 runs for the team. Later, Duminy and De Villiers made another partnership which led the team near victory. Bangladeshi bowlers could not do much things than Test match. Mahmudullah took highest two wickets. At the end, CSA XI lost just four wickets and reached their destination in 46.3 overs.

The first official ODI between Bangladesh and South Africa will take place in 15th October, 2017 at Kimberley.
