Bangladesh cricket team is currently travelling South Africa and they are scheduled to play a Test series, a ODI series and a T20I series against Proteas. They have already played a Test series which consisted of two matches. They lost the series completely. Now, Bangladesh looking forward to ODI series against Proteas.

Team Bangladesh still very weak in long format cricket and their main problem is they could not last long or it can be said in another world that their patience is low. So, the result was certain in front of the number two Test team in the World. Besides, the match was hosted in South Africa where the Tigers played in completely different environment and they made mistake because they could not understand the field nature. So, they lost the series by 2 – 0. Though, in the first match, Bangladesh played almost good but in the second Test, they were lost by an innings and 254 runs which is so shameful and also an unexpected fact. So, the Tigers are determined to do better in ODI series and they are one of the most potential team in ODI format as well.

The first ODI match between Bangladesh and South Africa will take place in 15th October, 2017 at Kimberley. But before that they have a chance to justify their current line up through warm up match. They have also one warm up match in schedule which has already started against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI.

Earlier today, the match has started where Bangladesh has won the toss and decided to bat first. The match is hosted at Bloemfontein. According to the last news, bangladesh has scored 123 runs by losing five wickets. Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar were the opener in the match but like Test series, they failed to justify on their name. Soumya was out with just 3 runs and Imrul scored 27 runs for the team.Liton Das was no better than them but scored 8 runs only.

Mushfiqur Rahim also failed but scored just 22 runs and Mahmudullah scored 21 runs. The batting line up of Bangladesh could not stand in front of Proteas bowlers. Basically they used to play good cricket in Asian environment and outside, they could not do much better. Shakib Al Hasan is in the ODI squad and Mashrafee is the ODI captain of Bangladesh. Nasir Hossain has also got chance in the best eleven.

However, team Bangladesh has a strong and long batting line up and if one or two players would get settled, they can lead the match. But sometimes all hopes are failed. But the Tigers would hopefully do better in ODI series against Proteas.
