Bangladesh faced defeat in 1st Test

After a long time, Bangladesh cricket team is travelling West Indies where they are scheduled to play a tournament against West Indies. Their tour will not be limited in West Indies but couple of matches will be executed in United States as well. However, they started the competition with Test series where the long format cricket consists of two matches. Earlier, the Tigers have played a tour match against West Indies President’s XI and the two days match ended with draw. Later, in 4th July, 2018 the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies took place and in the match, Bangladesh faced defeat in 1st Test against Windies team.

At Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound the first Test between them took place where Abu Jayed for Bangladesh made his Test debut through the match. The local team West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first. So, the Tigers came to bat in 4th July, 2018.

Tamim and Liton Das started to bat for Bangladesh but in 10 runs, Tamim was gone. He scored 4 runs so far. The Tigers faced batting collapsed in the match where only Liton Das made a double figure runs. He scored 25 runs so far. Rest players did not make any two figure runs in the match. They played only 18.4 overs and getting all out. In the meantime, the Tigers scored 43 runs so far. Four players failed to open run account in the match.Roach took five wickets highest where Cummins took three wickets so far.

Brathwaite and Smith opened the innings for West Indies and they jointly added 113 runs. Brathwaite made a century out there and scored 121 runs. Smith scored 58 runs. Among rest players, Powell scored 48 runs, Hope scored 67 runs, captain Holder and Roach scored 33 runs each for the team. They played 137.3 overs and scored 406 runs and lost all wickets. For the Tigers, Jayed and Miraz took three wickets each so far.

So, later the Tigers came to bat for the 2nd innings. Tamim and Liton once again started the innings and in 14 runs Tamim was gone. He scored 13 runs so far. Liton failed to play a long innings but scored 2 runs so far. Captain Shakib was no better but scored 12 runs. Just Nurul Hasan scored 64 runs highest for the team. Once again in 144 runs team Bangladesh lost all wickets. This time they played 40.2 overs so far. Gabriel took five wickets and Holder took three wickets for West Indies team.
