After pulling off a comprehensive 3-0 win over Pakistan in the recently-concluded One-Day International series, Bangladesh rode on their sky-rocketing morale to thrash Pakistan by 7 wickets in the one-off T20I in Dhaka on Friday.

Earlier, Pakistan won the flip of the coin and opted to bat first, which eventually proved to be an erroneous decision, as the visitors could only manage to pile up 141-5 in 20 overs with Mukhtar ahmed (37) and Haris Sohail (30*) making the most of the contribution.

In their quest to chase down a tepid total, Bangladesh saw themselves in a precarious situation at 38-3 in the 6th over. However, the hosts made a supreme recovery through Shakib Al Hasan (57*) and Sabbir Rahman (51*), who ensured that they don’t suffer any further casualties, as they comfortable achieved the target with 7 wickets to spare.

The shorter formats of the game done and dusted, the action now moves on to Test cricket, when the two teams lock horns in a two-match series that begins from April 28.
