A video of Bangladesh cricketer Taskin Ahmed breaking down while addressing media has surfaced on social media after he was left out of the 15-man squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup.

The fast-bowler impressed for Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League that saw him make a comeback into the side for the subsequent New Zealand series, involving three Tests and three ODIs.

Much to his dismay, however, he was ruled out of the entire series due to a ligament tear in his left ankle.

And even as he won the race against time to be fit for the World Cup, the 23-year-old was ingored by the selectors.

No wonder, he couldn’t hide his emotions while interacting with reporters.

Taskin has played 32 ODIs, picking 45 wickets at an average of 31.13.
