Australia won 2nd Test by 120 runs

The mighty Test series named Ashes is going on. The ongoing season of Ashes is hosted in Australia and so team England is currently visiting there. Like previous season, the Ashes series consists of five matches. Already two matches have finished. Like first match, Australia won 2nd Test by 120 runs against England. So, they are now leading the series by 2 – 0. Now, three matches have left and to secure the series team Australia has to manage just one victory. In last season of Ashes was won by England and to reclaim the title Australia has no other way but to win the series. After winning two matches , they have much possibility to win the series it seems.

Australia won 2nd Test by 120 runs

In 2nd December, 2017 the 2nd Test started and the match was hosted at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide. Team Australia lost the toss and came to bat first. They have scored 442 runs by losing eight wickets and declared the innings. Shaun Marsh scored highest 126 runs for the team Aussie. For England, Craig Overton took three wickets so far. However, England came to bat for the 1st innings and losty their all wickets in just 227 runs. Craig Overton scored highest 41 runs. Basically, after the innings of Australia the crease was turned to bowling favoured and so, Aussie bowlers took much advantage there. Nathan Lyon took four wickets in 24.1 overs and destroyed English batting line up.

In 1st day and 2nd day, the match was affected by the rain and so, few overs were reduced from the match in both day. Came to bat in second innings Australia faced batting disaster so early and lost their all wickets in 138 runs. They just played 58 overs there. Mitchell Starc who is the fast bowlers of the Aussie team scored highest 20 runs. On the other hand, for England James Anderson took highest five wickets in 22 overs. So, finally team England has seen the target but it was more than expected. Due to their fault in 1st innings, they suffered in the second innings as well. But they tried to draw the match and stood for long. They scored 233 runs in the second innings and lost all wickets. Joe Root scored 67 runs highest for English team. Mitchell Starc took five wickets for cricket Australia. Now, team England is looking forward to rest three matches and desperately seeking victories.
