Australia secured the ODI series against Pakistan in Sydney

Australia secured the ODI series against Pakistan by winning the 4th ODI yesterday where the match was hosted at Sydney Cricket Ground. Pakistan is currently travelling Australia due to play a complete Tournament consists of Tests and ODIs. The Green Shirts already being whitewashed in Test series earlier but they hoped to win the ODI series at least. Though, they started the ODI series with defeat but in second ODI match, Pakistan turned their back and grabbed the match. But, again lost in the third ODI. So, they went one step behind than Aussie team by 2 – 1. They had two matches in hand and there was only one choice left for them. That was to win the rest two ODIs. One of them was staged yesterday but the Shaheens could not even make any competition against the Aussie. They lost simply and so, they missed the series as well. Now, only one match is in hand of them and the result of upcoming match will not change the series winner.

Earlier yesterday, Aussie won the toss and came to bat first. Since the beginning of the match, they started to dominate the Shaheens bowlers though, the bowling side of Pakistan was extraordinary. But, in front of Aussie batsmen, they were so dim that day. They took the first Aussie wicket in 17.2 overs. Later, Warner and Smith made a long partnership which was broken in 212 runs when but in the meantime, Warner scored 130 runs and Smith got out with his 49 runs so far. Basically, Warner changed the match by scoring century and took the control of the match. Later, Head and Maxwell also played well and both of them successfully passed fifty runs. So, at the end of the innings, they scored 353 runs by losing six wickets. Hasan Ali was the most successful bowlers in that very day who took five wickets for the Shaheens.

However, 353 runs was more than enough to defeat Pakistan but the Green Shirts also regarded as the most unpredictable team in cricket world and they could do anything. But, they failed to justify their name in that case. They were defeated simply by 86 runs. Only, Sharjeel Khan scored highest 74 runs for the team. Pakistan lost their all wickets by playing 43.5 overs. So, along with the match, they also missed the ODI series as well.
