Australia defeated Pakistan by 39 runs in Brisbane

Finally, Pakistan has lost once again at the Gabba, Brisbane against Aussie and the record remain untouched. They were too close to the win but unfortunately lost their last two wickets at the beginning of the fifth day of this day/night test match. Team Pakistan finished their fourth day of the test by losing eight wickets who was Wahab Riaz and started the fifth day with Asad Shafiq and Yasir Shah. Asad was one of the batting pillar of the Green Shirts and in last day of the test, he added almost 70 runs to the scoreboard and went close to their chasing score which was given by Aussie.

After winning a warm up match against Cricket Australia XI easily, team Pakistan was in charming position and thought that it would be easy to defeat Australia in Brisbane. The match started in 15th December, 2016 when Australia won the toss and came to bat. The y made 429 runs in their first innings but Pakistan failed to utilize their batting properly and fallen into complete disaster. Though, earlier the match, Wahab Riaz who was one of the key pacer of Pakistan team warned Aussie and determined to destroy their batting line up and also got the highest wicket for Pakistan in the first innings where he took four wickets but that was too late. By then Aussie made a large score. However, pakistan scored only 142 runs by losing their all wickets in their first innings but just passed their follow – on options and Aussie came to bat for 2nd innings. In their second innings, they declared the match by making 202 runs with five wickets and so, Pakistan was targeted for 490 totally for their second innings.

Started their second innings in the 4th day at the Gabba, Pakistan lost their two wickets so fast but later they stood strong. At the moment, it thought that the Shaheens will win the match where at the Gabba stadium, Australia was not defeated for long time. So, Pakistan wanted to break the record and had chance. They finished their fourth day by losing their eight wickets where Asad Shafiq was still in the crease. But, the accident was happened again and finally lost.
