Finally the last Test of Ashes has staged which started in 4th January, 2018. It is a new season of the most prestigious Test competition where Australia and England used to face each other since the beginning. It is a Test competition which used to stage once in every two years and now, it is hosted at Australia. Due to that purpose, team England is currently visiting Australia where the already lost the Ashes series by facing three consecutive defeat in first three matches. In fifth and final match, Australia declared 1st innings scoring 649 runs where they came to bat after England.

The 5th Test started in 4th january, 2018 which is also the first test in the new year. So, both teams want to win the first Test of the Ashes series. The Test is hosted at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney where team England won the toss and decided to bat first.

Came to bat Team England made a good star almost but they could not manage huge runs and so, their first innings finished with 346 runs. They lost all wickets in the first innings. So, Australia came to bat for the 1st innings and they as usual made a good start and in every wicket, they did able to make partnership. As a result, they were in the crease till the middle of the 4th day and presented a huge runs in front of England. Through the score, they almost avoid the lose and now, it seems that they will win the match or the match would be finished with draw.

Australia started to bat with Bancroft and Warner. In just 1 run, opening partnership of Australia was broken. Bancroft was gone in 0 runs. Later, Warner and Khawaja made a partnership that added 85 runs to the scorecard. Warner was gone with 56 runs. Later, Khawaja and captain Smith made another partnership that added almost 200 runs and they finished the 2nd day by losing just two wickets. Both of them started the 3rd day of Sydney Test as well  but Smith could not stand much longer but gone so early in the 3rd day by scoring 83 runs. Khawaja scored 171 runs. Later Shaun Marsh and Mitchell Marsh played jointly and finished the 3rd day. Both of them scored century each. Shaun Marsh scored 156 runs and got run out unfortunately. Mitchell Marsh scored 101 runs. Finally losing seven wickets at the middle of the 4th day, they scored 649 runs and declared their first innings.
