Afghanistan captain Gulbadin Naib kept mum on a recent controversy involving his teammates.

Some of the Afghan players were involved in an altercation with a person filming them at a restaurant ahead of their World Cup fixture against England, forcing police intervention, according to a report by BBC.

At the end of the their 150-run defeat to the hosts on Tuesday, Naib was asked about the controversy by many a journalist.

He, however, was tight-lipped on it, even threatening to walk out if more questions were asked concerning the matter.

“No, I haven’t, so you can ask my security officer,” he fumed. “I didn’t know anything about him, about them. It’s not a big issue for the team, for me.

“If any one asks these kinds of questions now, I will be going.”

Afghanistan will look to put the controversy behind and post their first win on the board when they take on India on Saturday.
