Adelaide Strikers won by 11 runs

Adelaide Strikers is one of the most talkative team in ongoing season of Big Bash League competition due to their recent charming performance. It was the 3rd match of round eight in BBL and also it was the second meeting between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes. In their first meeting, Hobart Hurricanes beat the Strikers easily but in 2nd match, Adelaide Strikers showed their true colors to the most potential opponent. In the match, Adelaide Strikers won by 11 runs against Hurricanes.

The match between Strikers and Hurricanes was the 31st match of the ongoing season of BBL which staged in 17th January, 2018. However, it was a day/ night competition where Strikers won the toss and decided to bat first. The match was hosted at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide where Greg Davidson and Simon Lightbody were the field umpires. Came to bat, Strikers presented a big runs in front of Hurricanes. They scored 187 runs in exchange for four wickets. Alex Carey scored highest 100 runs in just 56 balls. On the other hand, Hurricanes almost made the things possible and they went close to the target. But finally finished their innings with 176 runs. They also lost only four wickets so far. Alex Doolan scored highest 70 runs for the team Hurricanes.

Adelaide Strikers came to open the innings with Carey and Weatherald. Opening partnership added 171 runs to the scoreboard when Weatherald was run out scoring 65 runs unfortunately. At the same time, Carey was gone as well. He made an amazing century there. He made plenty of shot out there. He made twelve 4’s and four 6’s in his innings. Later. Ingram came up with Wells and started to take shot at the end of the innings. Ingram remained not out with 4 runs and Well scored 8 runs for the team. Another player Lehmann scored also four runs so far. Finally, by losing four wickets Adelaide Strikers ended up scoring 187 runs in 20 overs. Bowlers of Hurricanes were too expensive where Archer took three wickets alone for Hurricanes.

On the other side, came to chase the score Hobart Hurricanes started their innings with Doolan and Short. Short is a great and dashing player but in the day, he was flopp but scored only 28 runs. In 45 runs opening partnership was broken when Bailey came up and scored just 7 runs. McDermott played a bit well and added 45 runs. But opener Doolan remained not out with 70 runs. In selected 20 overs, they ended with 176 runs. So, they were lost by 11 runs only.
