Adelaide Strikers could not win against Brisbane Heat at Adelaide Oval

Big Bash League 2016/17 season has started so amazingly where in the first match Sydney Sixers defeated Sydney Thunders by nine wickets so far. Now, here we talk about the second match of the sixth episode of the one of the two most popular short form cricket competition. In the second match which was staged at Adelaide Oval, Brisbane Heat won by ten runs so far against Adelaide Strikers. The match could be won by the Strikers but suddenly, the fallen into wickets incident. They were about to win the match but Heat was in luck yesterday.

However, Adelaide Strikers won the toss and decided to field first and they thought about the last match of BBL 2016/17 where Sixers won by choosing field first. So, the skipper of Strikers thought that it could better to win by chasing runs through batting in second. Though, came to bat first Brisbane Heat made a large score which seemed to impossible to chase. They scored 206 runs by losing six wickets.

Peirson and former Black Caps batsman McCullum made a good start for Brisbane which partnership gave them 90 runs so far. This both batsmen were out with 46 and 42 runs individually. Later, Lynn and Ross made another partnership. Ross scored highest 64 runs by playing 49 balls so far. So, at the end of the twenty overs, they scored 206 runs by losing five wickets. Jordan and Pollard took two wickets each for the Strikers.

Came to bat to chase such big score, Strikers also started good and keep their openers long time. The openers scored 133 runs by playing 11.1 overs. At that time, it seemed that they were going to win the match but their top orders could not do it. At the end, they scored 196 runs by losing six wickets. They still left four wickets but actually the score was too big. They just lost for ten runs. Dunk scored highest 85 runs by playing 52 balls. Steketee took highest three wickets for Brisbane Heat.

BB McCullum from Brisbane Heat was announced as the player of the match in the competition.

Adelaide Strikers will play their next match against Perth Scorchers in 23rd December, 2016 and Brisbane Heat are scheduled to play their upcoming competition against Sydney Thunder in 28th December, 2016.
