The triangular series final between Pakistan and Australia was marred by a bit of a controversy towards the end after Glenn Maxwell didn’t shake hands with Sarfraz Ahmed.

In the video that went viral on internet, Ahmed can be seen extending his hand to Maxwell, who, after greeting Shoaib Malik, moved on towards the umpires and teammates.

Ahmed, the Pakistan captain, then reportedly reacted using the F-word.

And although Maxwell was heavily criticized for his conduct, the Australian batsman took to his official Twitter handle to reveal that he it wasn’t intentional and that he was looking for Ahmed in the hotel to extend the olive branch.

Earlier, Pakistan beat Australia by six wickets in the final of the tournament that also involved hosts Zimbabwe.

Riding on opener D’Arcy Short’s 76, Australia piled up 183-8 in 20 overs before Pakistan – powered by Fakhar Zaman’s blazing 46-ball 91 – won with four balls to spare.
