Dhaka Dynamites beat Riders by 43 runs

In 6th December, 2017 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka Dhaka Dynamites and Rangpur Riders faced against each other which was a competition of ongoing season of BPL. BPL which is Bangladesh Premier League is one of the most exciting T20 league competition in the World where in 5th season of BPL is going on. There are seven participants have participated here for the title. Dhaka is the most successful team in the tournament and also the defending champion. In the match, Dhaka Dynamites beat Riders by 43 runs. It was a day match where Dhaka Dynamites won the toss and decided to bat first. Skipper of Dhaka Dynamites Shakib took very effective decision and scored 137 runs in selected 20 overs. Though, the score was poor but Rangpur Riders could not chase it but facing batting collapsed and the wicket was bowling favoured. Batsmen did not get any advantage there. In return, Rangpur Riders finished with 94 runs. They still had three wickets in hand but due to rough wicket, they could not win.

With Narine and Lewis, Dhaka Dynamites opened their innings first. But in five runs Narine was gone by Rubel Hossain. He scored just 4 runs. Top orders of Shaka were failed completely it seemed. Lewis scored 14 where Denly scored 9 runs so far. Jahurul, Mosaddek were no better but scored just 5 and 10 runs respectively. Later, Mehedi Maruf and captain Shakib stood strong where Maruf scored 33 runs and Shakib finished the innings with remained not out. He scored highest 47 runs. Due to his batting, Dhaka Dynamites ended up with 137 runs. They lost seven wickets. For Rangpur, Rubel Hossain took two wickets so far. Ebadat Hossain also took two wickets for the Riders.

However, came to chase such mere score, Rangpur took stumble at the beginning. In just 7 runs their opening partnership was broken by Mosaddek. He took Lyth who scored just 3 runs. Chris Gayle was not in the game in the day but later McCullum came but scored just 1 run and gone by Shakib Al Hasan. In 28 runs Dhaka Dynamites stroke again and this time Shahriar Nafees was gone who scored just 7 runs. Opener Charles scored 26 runs. In the circumstances middle order should take the wheel but only Bopara played a little and scored highest 28 runs. He also remained not out. However, in selected 20 overs, Rangpur ended up with 94 runs by losing seven wickets. Shakib and Abu Hider took two wickets each. Due to brilliant batting and effective bowling, Shakib Al Hasan was given as the player of the match awards.
