West Indies pulled off a thrilling one-wicket win over South Africa in the penultimate One-Day International (ODI) of the 5-match series at Port Elizabeth on Sunday.

Earlier, West Indies captain Jason Holder won the toss and decided to put the hosts in to bat, who eventually went on to recover from a slow start to amass 262-8 in 50 overs. David Miller was the top-scorer with a magnificent 130-run knock.

For West Indies, Holder was the wrecker-in-chief, bagging 4 wickets for 53 runs in his 10-over spell.

In response, Marlon Samuels (68) and Darren Sammy (51) scored fluent half-centuries, before Andre Russell smashed an unbeaten 40-ball 64 to hand over the touring team a rare win over their fancied counterparts.

With the series already to South Africa’s name, the two teams are scheduled to cross the swords in yet another dead rubber at Centurion on Wednesday.
